AI Contract Overview
This contract is for the procurement of 67 units of helical compression springs, specifically identified by the part number 39-16339 and NSN 5360-01-108-5187, under solicitation number SPE7LX-26-U-4569. The purchase is managed by the Department of Defense’s Strategic Acquisition Directorate, with delivery required within 111 days and inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination. The springs are classified as commercial items and must be packaged according to ASTM D3951 standards, with all packaging and marking conforming to MIL-STD-129, along with specific DLA packaging requirements outlined in RP001. Sampling and quality assurance will be conducted following MIL-STD-1916 or equivalent standards, with defined acceptance quality levels for different product attributes. The contract highlights the application of the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, which overrides general packaging standards as necessary, and allows for flexible inspection methods while ensuring rigorous quality controls. Removal of government identification is mandated for non-accepted supplies, and the unit of issue is the individual spring. Administrative contact for the contract is Theodore Misiolek, with solicitation responses due by March 19, 2026. The procurement is intended for the Continental United States (CONUS) and involves direct DLA coverage, supporting critical aerospace applications as indicated by the manufacturer Hydro-Aire Aerospace Corp.
