AI Contract Overview
The Defense Logistics Agency at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is conducting market research to identify potential suppliers for the acquisition of a POWER DISTRIBUTION PANEL, NSN 6110-01-693-9934, Part Number 7-611B11100-001, specifically to support the APACHE weapon system. This effort is under NAICS code 335312, with a size standard of 1,250 employees, and is currently restricted to a single responsible source due to the Government’s inability to obtain the necessary data rights for production, as well as the uneconomical nature of reverse engineering the part. The acquisition is being managed under FAR 6.302-1(a)(1), limiting competition to only one qualified vendor at this time, though the Government is actively seeking interest from 8(a), small business, small disadvantaged business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. Firms interested in becoming eligible for future solicitations must meet prequalification criteria and are expected to bear all costs associated with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, forecasting, obsolescence mitigation, and delivery of the part. The Government does not own the data rights required for production and cannot fund the development of alternative sources. Any responses submitted are voluntary, do not constitute offers, and do not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This sources sought notice is purely informational and for planning purposes, with no funds available to reimburse respondents for preparation costs.
