Solicitation # 75N98027Q00044
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of the Director, is seeking a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order under solicitation 75N98027Q00044 to upgrade a Government-owned PExA 2.1 instrument to PExA Cap functionality. This upgrade, intended for the Laboratory for Chronic Airway Infections, converts the existing paper-based collection mechanism to a vial-based system to eliminate post-collection substrate processing and improve analyte detectability. The contractor is also responsible for the fully insured, round-trip door-to-door transport of the sensitive scientific equipment between the contractor's facility and the NIH site in Bethesda, Maryland, using a carrier experienced in handling medical instrumentation. This unrestricted acquisition is conducted under FAR Subpart 12.6 for commercial items and is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The Government will award the contract based on best value, where technical capability, past performance, and delivery schedule are collectively considered significantly more important than price. Proposals must be submitted by November 12, 2026, and must include the offeror's UEI, TIN, business size certification, and the country of origin for all supplies.
