The City of Bloomingdale is accepting sealed bids for the City's DOT Local Maintenance Improvement Grant (LMIG). The project description is as follows: Patching of 1.5" of 9.5 mm patching surface course of 3800 linear feet of Stagecoach Road that is in disrepair along with leveling of the patches. Bid should also include striping of Stagecoach Road from Highway 80 to the Effingham County Line. All construction shall meet GDOT minimum standard specifications, latest edition. Any inquiries should be directed to Public Works Director Ernie Grizzard at (912)-313-5568. The deadline for the bids is August 17, 2026, at Noon and should be submitted to the attention of City Administrator Charles D. Akridge at Bloomingdale City Hall,# 8 West Highway 80, Bloomingdale, Georgia 31302. All bids will be opened and read aloud at 4:00 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room on August 17, 2026. Bid will be awarded at the August 20th, 2026, City Council Meeting In the event of a tie for the low bid, the first bid submitted will prevail. The City of Bloomingdale reserves the right to reject all bids, waive any informalities and award the bid in the best interest of the City of Bloomingdale.
