The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services intends to negotiate a contract with the National Academy of Social Insurance to obtain state-level estimates of workers compensation benefits paid in 2006. The information is essential for updating the National and State Health Accounts and serves as a critical component for historical sources of funds estimates. Due to the unique nature of the data, which is unavailable from other sources, the agency is utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to engage the National Academy of Social Insurance. Interested parties may submit capability statements to the agency, as this announcement serves as the sole solicitation. The project is managed by Contract Specialist Phillip Harrell and Contracting Officer Tom C. Snyder, with performance based in Baltimore, Maryland.
