The New York State Department of Transportation has extended the contract for the statewide Advanced Traffic Management System (Contract #C030789) until December 31, 2026, following an exemption granted by the State Comptroller on January 28, 2025. This exemption allows the department to avoid a competitive bidding process because a competitive procurement was deemed unfeasible under NY State Finance Law Section 163.10 (b). The contract, originally initiated on January 1, 2014, covers all counties within New York State and is valued between five and fifteen million dollars. The sole-source award was made to CoVal Systems, Inc., which is the designated provider for this project. There is no current opportunity for other vendors to respond or compete for this contract, and the notice of exemption was published with an end date of February 6, 2025. The contract aims to support statewide traffic management infrastructure, ensuring coordinated traffic operations across New York. For inquiries or further details, contact Patricia Kappeller, the Contract Management Specialist III at the NYSDOT, via email or phone. The contract's details and related notices are accessible through the New York State Contract Reporter.
