Statewide Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services

The State of Iowa is soliciting bids for statewide elevator repair, maintenance, inspection, and emergency response services for state-owned and leased facilities. The contract is structured around five geographic work zones, with the state intending to award contracts to up to three of the lowest qualified bidders per zone. The initial term begins on December 1, 2026, and ends on November 30, 2027, with the possibility of mutual renewals for up to five years. Bids must be submitted electronically by October 23, 2026. To qualify, bidders must maintain a physical, non-residential facility within the zones they are bidding for, and all technicians must hold valid Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL) elevator mechanic licenses. Awardees must provide quarterly sales reports in Microsoft Excel and pay a corresponding administrative fee to the Iowa Department of Administrative Services.
