The Federal Acquisition Service’s General Supplies and Services Portfolio is undertaking a significant realignment of its Supply Chain Modernization efforts to better integrate with innovations in the Global Supply business model. This strategic shift aims to enhance customer value and service by adopting a more customer-centric approach and leveraging advancements in industry capabilities. As a result, the solicitation originally planned under the Alliant GWAC will undergo a thorough review and revision, with anticipated changes to reflect the reprioritization of SCM project requirements driven by the demand driven supply chain initiative. Over the coming month, the General Supplies and Services team will update the project roadmap and acquisition plan to align with these new priorities. During this period, a brief review window will likely occur as solicitation requirements are adjusted. Stakeholders and interested parties are advised that future communications regarding related acquisitions will be posted through FedBizOpps. The solicitation is managed by the General Services Administration office based in Washington, DC, with performance taking place in Arlington, VA. The Federal Acquisition Service's General Supplies and Services Portfolio's Office of Supply Operations is aligning Supply Chain Modernization (SCM) with innovations in the Global Supply business model to provide greater value and service to customers through a more customer-centric approach that will leverage the evolution of industry capabilities. The alignment will necessitate a comprehensive review of the solicitation and changes are anticipated. The demand driven supply chain initiative will re-prioritize SCM project requirements so GSS will not proceed with the solicitation as originally envisioned under the Alliant GWAC. Over the next month, GSS will update the project roadmap and acquisition plan. A short review period is likely while GSS updates the solicitation requirements. Future communication regarding any associated acquisitions will be provided via FedBizOpps.
