AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Navy, through Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, intends to procure SteelCloud ConfigOS software on a sole source basis under FAR 6.302-1, identifying SteelCloud, LLC as the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the requirement for automating the STIG compliance lifecycle across the Joint Staff J6 Directorate’s Cyber and C2 Operational Development Division. The software, classified under NAICS 513210 and Product Service Code 7A21, is a proprietary solution required for maintaining minimum security standards, with the procurement structured as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under FAR 19.5. The baseline order includes one Foundry/Forge, one Production, and one Dev/Test Commander instance, along with 300 annual subscriptions for Windows Workstations, 90 for Windows Servers, and 40 for Linux systems, with options to renew for four additional one-year terms through 2030, all tied to a desired delivery date of July 19, 2026. Software updates are to be installed by cleared network engineers within the requesting organization, and technical support is delivered remotely via phone, email, or internet without access to classified material. While no pricing details are disclosed, volume pricing is structured based on endpoint counts between 100 and 499. This action is a sources-sought notice with a response deadline of June 15, 2026, allowing market feedback to evaluate potential competition, though the government has indicated no intent to compete due to the unique, proprietary nature of SteelCloud ConfigOS. Questions should be directed to Daniel Moore at the provided Navy email address, and the place of performance is specified as Washington, D.C. with no physical delivery required.
