The USDA-ARS-ST PAUL, MN intends to award a sole source procurement to AARHUS UNIVERSITY(Denmark),Pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The award will be for the following:Construction of Stem rust analysis database and integration into Wheat Rust Toolbox: The wheat rust toolbox can store data from several stem rust SNP tests (to be agreed upon between USDA-CDL and GRRC) USDA-CDL can upload and analyse filtered data. Predefined format of files (csv or XML) will be defined. A System to automatically Quality control data files during import and announcement of errors. Feature to download of data from the toolbox Prepare for other "approved labs" in Africa and Asia to upload similar data using same upload and quality control features. An expert panel can log into the toolbox and evaluate data and the SNP chip results from different labs before release on public maps and charts Link between the surveillance data and isolate data (surveillance data that have sampling IDs attached will generate an isolate ID in the database - preparing for upload of results. Uploded SNP results will then be linked with all sampling attribute data) After release the isolate genotype data are shown on existing maps and charts in a BGRI global context. Both SSR and SNP data stored in the DB can be queried for analysis by a shiny-R poppr, only available after login to the wheat rust toolbox. We will adapt the poppr program according to the needs at USDA-CDL and GRRC (this part will have restricted access rights based on user names and passwords).
