Scope: This project includes the expansion of the Studios Energy South (SES) Chiller Plant, including the installation of new chillers, pumps, cooling tower systems, electrical and fire protection systems, associated piping and controls, site modifications, and related infrastructure improvements.
The construction site is located at 397 Cypress Drive – Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830.
SCOPE OVERVIEW: A. Installation of new owner-furnished chiller and all associated piping, appurtenances, and controls; B. Installation of (2) new owner-furnished chilled water pumps and all associated piping, appurtenances, and controls; C. Installation of new concrete cooling tower basin, separate concrete pump pit, and all cooling tower piping, appurtenances, and controls. Cooling tower shall be field-erected by cooling tower manufacturer (TEI). Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating the installation of cooling tower with TEI. A 24" diameter underground equalizer pipe shall connect the new basin with the existing basin; new pipe shall connect to pipe installed in a previous project; D. Installation of (2) new owner-furnished condenser water pumps and all associated piping, appurtenances, and controls; E. All electrical systems supporting the above items #1-4 as well as lighting at new cooling tower and pump area and lightning protection at new cooling tower and pump area; F. New make-up water and overflow drain systems at new cooling tower; G. New fire protection system for new cooling tower. Fire protection system shall be a separate, alarmed branch from the existing dry valve system; H. Removal and relocation of existing yard drain where new cooling tower basin is to be installed; I. Removal of existing sidewalks along the east and south perimeter of the cooling tower yard and relocation of the fenceline; J. Waterproofing of new cooling tower basin.
