Supply Chain Analysis - Canadian Deep Geothermal Roadmap

Royal Roads University, on behalf of the Province of British Columbia, is soliciting proposals for a Supply Chain Analysis as part of the Canadian Deep Geothermal Roadmap. The objective of this study is to evaluate how Canada's existing oil and gas industry, including its workforce and firms, is positioned to lead in geothermal power across conventional and next-generation technologies. The scope includes assessing readiness for geothermal projects, identifying globally competitive capabilities for international market capture, and pinpointing gaps within the current Canadian supply chain. A primary output of the project is the development of a Geothermal Supply Chain Taxonomy. This is a fixed-price contract with a maximum funding limit of 175,000.00 CAD. Award decisions are based on a 100-point weighted scoring system, with 50 points for the proposed approach, 30 points for experience, and 20 points for price. Preference is given to proponents with experience in the Canadian energy sector. The selected contractor must provide a project team with expertise in energy sector supply chain analysis, workforce assessment, and international benchmarking. Key deliverables include an inception report due within six weeks of the contract award. Proposals must be submitted in English via BC Bid by November 27, 2026, and must include a fixed, all-inclusive price and a Proposal Declaration Letter.
