Supply, Installation, Commissioning, Training and Five-Year Service of Two Stationary High-Pressure SCBA Breathing-Air Compressor and Fill Systems

The City of Barrie has issued Request for Quotations FIN2026-205Q for the supply, installation, commissioning, training, and five-year service of two stationary high-pressure SCBA breathing-air compressor and fill systems for Stations 1 and 4. The required equipment must feature modern electronic controls, automatic condensate management, and continuous carbon monoxide and moisture/dew-point monitoring. All quoted rates must be all-inclusive, covering labor, materials, travel, carriage, insurance, and installation costs. The contract term is set for five years, and the selected respondent must provide written test results from a qualified independent laboratory to certify compliance with breathing-air requirements. The evaluation process follows a three-stage approach: a mandatory compliance review, a technical requirement verification, and a final pricing evaluation where the lowest total price among qualified respondents will be selected. Successful respondents must provide a WSIB Certificate of Clearance, a Certificate of Insurance, and an Electronic Funds Transfer Authorization Agreement Form. All submissions must be made electronically through the City's Bidding System by the deadline of October 14, 2026, as hard copy submissions will not be accepted. The City reserves the right to inspect and approve all goods at its destination and may audit products prior to shipment.
