The US Army CECOM LCMC plans to extend software support for an additional year for three key systems: the Global Command and Control System - Army (GCCS-A), Maneuver Control System (MCS), and Joint Tactical Common Operational Picture Workstation (JTCW). This support extension will be awarded non-competitively to Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Services (LM IS&GS) under the authority that allows contracting from the only responsible source, as LM IS&GS is the original developer and current support contractor capable of delivering seamless software maintenance for these specific systems. The extension allows time to award a future competitive contract and ensures a smooth transition. The contract modification will be a Time and Materials effort under the existing contract number W15P7T-06-C-N401, with an estimated value of $39 million. The acquisition supports maintaining uninterrupted operational capability of these command and control systems, which are critical for military maneuver and situational awareness. The work is managed by the Department of Defense’s agency office in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, with a NAICS code of 541330 corresponding to engineering services. This action underscores the importance of continuity in software support while preparing for a future competitive procurement.
