The Department of Energy Office of Logistics and Facility Operations plans to contract with Jones, Lang, LaSalle for real estate services. This project will provide real estate support services to assist in OLFO?s technical work in developing a strategic vision for the Forrestal Building. Jones, Lang, LaSalle will investigate the possibility of a reduction in lease holdings and reductions in internal space. The Contractor will provide work on tasks including analysis of GSA building appraisals, business case analyses, briefings on real estate to DOE leaders, and consultant services regarding real estate strategies. Jones, Lang, LaSalle is the only responsible source and no other suppliers will satisfy agency requirements. Jones Lang, LaSalle provided real estate services in 2010 and a follow-on contract will allow for the continued analysis of DOE real estate holdings. The staff of Jones, Lang, LaSalle is able to render services immediately because they have completed business cases analysis for DOE and are familiar with the DOE real estate needs and requirements. In accordance with Competition in Contracting Act, 41 USC 253 [c] [1], as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, other than full and open competition is authorized when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a notice of intent and no solicitation is available for this requirement. Interested parties may submit capability statement and rationale by May 31, 2011 at 9:00am EST via e-mail to contact@example.gov. The written response must include a general statement for services mentioned in this announcement and past performance client information for similar work. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
