AI Contract Overview
The 140th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Buckley SFB in Colorado is seeking to replace its existing warehouse shelving system for individual protective equipment and mission-critical F-16 aircraft parts with a new mechanically operated system to address critical safety hazards. The current setup requires personnel to manually push a forty-eight-foot section to access stored items, posing a significant operational risk and inefficiency. The new system must include electronic mobility shelves with fewer moving parts to minimize failure points, increase accessible cubic footage, and decrease MICAP pull times, thereby improving overall warehouse efficiency. This action is being conducted as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under FAR 19.5, meaning only small businesses are eligible to compete. The acquisition is currently in a presolicitation phase, identified by the synopsis number Synopsis-W50S6V26-Q06, posted on May 29, 2026, with a response deadline of May 30, 2026, for expression of interest. Vendors are not to submit quotes but must instead provide a formal response including a capability statement and their CAGE and UEID information to be considered for future solicitation. The award will be made on a best value basis, evaluating price, technical approach, and past performance, though the exact weighting of these factors has not been specified. The place of performance is Aurora, Colorado, and the procuring activity is under the Department of Defense, with the primary point of contact through the 140th Contracting Office. No contract value, delivery schedule, or detailed specifications are available at this stage as the document serves only as a notice of intent and not a formal solicitation.
