The City of Prince George is seeking bids from qualified contractors to replace the existing lighting systems within the Kin Centre Complex with modern, energy-efficient LED technology. The main focus of the project includes upgrading the lighting in the Kin 1 and Kin 2 arenas, as well as in change rooms, corridors, and other ancillary spaces. Additionally, the project involves wiring new emergency lighting in the Kin 1 arena and connecting it to a central inverter system. The scope of work has been developed by an engineering consultant and is detailed in the tender documents provided by the City. Due to ongoing programming activities and operational constraints at the Kin Centre, the installation timeline is limited, requiring careful coordination between the contractor and the City. The City also reserves the right to adjust the scope of work as needed. The solicitation may result in negotiations with one or more bidders offering the lowest bids or may proceed directly to contract award without negotiations. Responses to this solicitation are due by March 4, 2026, and interested parties can contact the City's procurement office for further information.
