An Advanced Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is a public notification to the supplier community indicating that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services, or construction to a pre-identified supplier. Transport Canada (TC), the Department of National Defence (DND), the National Research Council (NRC), and other government departments (OGDs) share the responsibility of ensuring Canada’s transportation system is safe, secure, efficient, and environmentally sustainable. As part of its research and regulatory development mandate, Transport Canada (TC) and other government departments tests emerging technologies that often require specialized infrastructure and expertise not available within its own facilities. These activities are primarily conducted at two key sites, Killaloe Aerodrome and Area X.O, which Canada seeks to lease for these purposes. To ensure safety and operational efficiency, these efforts demand seamless planning, scheduling, and coordination .
