The Navy is conducting a market survey to gather information on existing or developing Tactical Integrated Bridge Systems as part of developing performance-based specifications. This request is not a solicitation, and there is no guarantee of purchase or compensation for any information provided. The Navy seeks systems that meet specific criteria, including NATO compliance for electronic charts and classified data processing, seamless integration with both the Italian National Coastal Surveillance System and global Vessel Traffic Management Systems, scalability from small craft to large ships, open architecture, hardware independence, and affordable technology refresh capabilities. Additionally, these systems should offer an upgrade path to incorporate the latest Human Systems Integration and Integrated Command Environment research findings and comply with software safety standards established by recognized international public safety organizations. Vendors specializing in marine systems who have current or planned systems aligning with these requirements are encouraged to submit detailed descriptive information and any available performance specifications at no cost. Submissions must be sent by July 15, 2002, to Naval Sea Systems Command, with options for postal mail, fax, or email provided for convenience. This effort aims to inform the Navy’s development of future specifications by understanding the current market capabilities without obligating the Navy to any purchase or further action.
