Taney Pier Repair at Base Alameda, Alameda, Ca.

The Coast Guard Civil Engineering Unit in Oakland CA announces the pre-solicitation to Repair the Taney Pier at Base Alameda, Ca. This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Part 5.203 and FAR Part 36.213-2. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, miscellaneous parts and technical services necessary to reconfigure six existing JetDock floating dock assemblies, provide one new drive-on floating dock assembly for the LRI, and perform repairs to broken, damaged or missing floating dock components for all six reconfigured JetDocks at Taney Pier, USCG Base Alameda, Alameda, California. The project requires the Contractor to provide all management, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, expertise, and supervision necessary to perform the work in accordance the specifications and drawings which will be included with the solicitation package. The effort will consist of the following: A) Modify six existing 25-foot JetDock floating dock assemblies at Taney Pier to 29-foot floating dock assemblies to accommodate the new RBS II response boats. Use only original manufacturer parts and assemblies. Restore all modified floating docks to full operational capability at Taney Pier. B) Provide new HDPE module drive-on floating dock assembly to accommodate the 35-foot Long Range Interceptor (LRI) boats at Base Alameda. Fabricate, install and test to assure full operational capability at Taney Pier. C) Install required electrical components and circuitry at Taney Pier to support LRI floating dock operations. D) Provide all required water launching and recovery services required to modify, transport and install all floating dock assemblies and components. E) Provide or replace worn, damaged or missing JetDock components as indicated in REPAIR LIST and as encountered in the work. F) Realign location of existing JetDocks to allow placement of new LRI floating dock. G) Provide new mooring fenders and connections for all seven floating dock assemblies. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The place of performance for this project is located at Coast Guard Island in Alameda, Ca. The contract for this project will be awarded using procedures in FAR 15 - Contracting by Negotiations (no public bid opening). The Construction period will be 100 calendar days from notice to proceed.
