AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to the procurement of electrical insulation tape conforming to MIL-I-19166.007 specifications, measuring 0.007 inches thick by 1.0 inch wide by 36 yards long, classified as Type II with a 12-month shelf life that is extendable. The item is designated as a critical application component and must be sourced from qualified manufacturers listed under QPL-19166-30 or equivalent, with strict adherence to DLA’s procurement and packaging requirements. All units must be packaged in compliance with MIL-STD-2073-1E using clean/dry preservation methods, packed in E5 fiberboard boxes at packaging level B with no cushioning or preservation materials, and marked per MIL-STD-129 with a special code indicating Type II and shelf life. The tape is not classified as hazardous under HMIC standards, and no Safety Data Sheet is required. Delivery is required within 20 days of order, FOB destination, with no quantity variance permitted, and inspection and acceptance occur at the final destination. Two separate CLINs specify delivery of 2 and 3 units respectively to two distinct international destinations: one to a Royal Jordanian Air Force base in Jordan and another to an APO address in the U.S. military mail system. The contract mandates inclusion of all applicable FAR and DFARS clauses including equal opportunity, trafficking in persons, employment eligibility verification, sustainable products, cybersecurity safeguards, export control, and prohibitions on acquiring covered telecommunications equipment or hexavalent chromium. Packaging and palletization must follow RP001 DLA guidelines, and shipments must be labeled with barcodes compliant with MIL-STD-129R. Invoicing is restricted to the WAWF system, and no unit pricing is listed in the solicitation, indicating this is a request for quotation with pricing to be determined post-award. All submissions must be made electronically via DIBBS by the deadline of July 29, 2026.
