The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, New Jersey, is seeking to procure temperature transducers and related hardware to support the F-35 compatibility with current Jet Blast Deflectors. Because the F-35 engine generates unprecedented levels of thrust and heat, this equipment is critical for collecting data to model the impact on the deflector and surrounding deck areas. The resulting data will be used to determine the safety of positioning aircraft behind the deflector and to verify overall compatibility with the F-35C. The procurement includes a detailed list of K-type thermocouples, armored cabling with various insulation ratings, connectors, compression fittings, and assembly tools. This requirement is designated as a 100 percent set-aside for small businesses. Interested vendors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration database and submit invoices electronically via the Wide Area Work Flow system. All quotations should be directed to the designated contract specialist.
