This announcement is for information and planning purposes.  It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. 


The California Air National Guard, 146th Airlift Wing (146th AW) Channel Islands ANG Station, Port Hueneme has a requirement entitled: Temporary MAFFS Storage Facility


The 146th AW intends to solicit quotes from at least three (3) interested sources in accordance with RFO FAR 12.201-1 Simplified procedures.  This is expected to be 100% set aside for a Small Business competition after approvals are completed and is intended to result in award of one (1) firm-fixed price contract with an expected contract delivery/contract completion date of 31 December 2026 or sooner.


The general salient characteristics of the requirement include but are not limited to: “Storage shelter shall be 50’Wide x 80’Long with 24’ Ceiling with openings on each end of shelter to bring in equipment (523” x 108”) and 1 personnel door on each end. Material and Fabric should be sufficient for 20+ year lifespan, suitable for high winds and high salinity environment. Shelter should be capable of installation on a concrete pad with the capability to have electrical power for (2) exhaust fans, outlets and interior lighting. Request engineering specifications for wind, seismic loads and exposure for proposed location. The Shelter should be delivered to Channel Islands ANGS and 100% set up on station. If delivery is chargeable, it must be quoted for zip code 93041. Warranty: 12 months parts and labor warranty”

This Notice is published for this proposed action in accordance with RFO FAR 5.101(a).  The 146 Wing will provide more information in the official solicitation.  Quotes will be due no less than 10 days from the date the solicitation is issued.  The definitive due date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued.


No CDs or hard copies of the solicitation will be available.  Interested vendors are responsible for checking https://SAM.gov for any update(s) to this Notice.  The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for any vendor’s inability to access any documents posted on the above-mentioned website.
