Sole Source Award Notice in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a single source. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Contracting Division (NCD) on behalf of Office of Naval Health and Research (ONR), awards a sole source supply contract to Tencate Advanced Armor USA, Inc. located at 23 Sisal St Newark, OH, 43055-5831 for Tencate GoldShield GV2016 and HB210 Laminates. Brief description of supplies or services required and the intended use: The primary objective of the Expeditionary Lightweight Armor Seedling Development (ELASD) program is to evaluate the next generation of lightweight armor materials and technology. An emphasis has been placed on finding ultra-lightweight and high performance materials to reduce the parasitic weight involved with up-armoring ground combat vehicles. Twenty (each) HB-210 and Goldshield GV2016 laminates molded using Tencate's proprietary high-pressure molding process will be procured and evaluated under the ELASD program.
