The piping section between BLDG 1575 and Slip 1 shows signs of carrier pipe failure. This piping section provides utility steam for BLDG 1575. This BLDG has no redundant steam service feeds. This project is considered a priority due to the already failed condition of the piping system. Due to the age of the piping a full feed replacement is required. A partial system replacement would not address the root cause and only provide a temporary repair. Failure will continue to worsen and start to cause damage to the BLDG.
