The County of Orange's OC Public Works department is soliciting competitive electronic bids from qualified vendors to supply thirty-seven sedan-class B vehicles through a one-time contract. The procurement process emphasizes strict adherence to the county’s terms, conditions, and scope of work, which are detailed in the model contract and related attachments. Bidders must register via the county’s OpenGov procurement platform prior to viewing or submitting their bids, and all submissions must include comprehensive documentation such as conflict of interest disclosures, company profiles, references, and specific vehicle specifications outlined in Attachment C. The total bid price must account for all fees, shipping, and assembly costs, with no additional compensation permitted. The procurement process also incorporates the county’s policies favoring local small businesses and disabled veteran-owned enterprises, encouraging participation from these groups through established preference policies. Successful bidders will be required to sign a formal contract upon award and provide proof of insurance within seven days of notification. Questions related to the bid must be directed exclusively through the county’s designated online platform, and any communications outside this channel will be deemed invalid. The project’s estimated contract value ranges between approximately 1.11 million and 1.48 million dollars, with the primary point of contact being Ian Calhoun. This initiative aligns with the broader mission of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office Public Works Unit to promote fair bidding practices, enforce labor standards, and ensure transparency in public procurement activities.
