Overview The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids from qualified Contractors to repair existing underground drainage district Br.5 main in DOT Right of Way on IA 17 in Polk County (Mile Post 6.6 and Station 357+38) as per the specifications outlined on the Statement of Work (SOW). Supplemental specifications may be found on the Bid document. Documents are attached to the Buyer Attachments section of this RFB. Traffic control, if necessary, shall be provided by the contractor. Traffic control is required for this project under TC-1 & TC-202. The Department will allow for subcontracting of traffic control. All Right of Way shall be restored and stabilized when work is completed. Contractor shall be responsible for locating and clearing all existing utilities. The Iowa DOT bidding process is subject to the procedures and requirements established in Iowa Administrative Code 761--20. Project Location: IA 17 Mile Post 6.6 and Station 357+38 Polk County. Shipping Terms Deliveries shall be F.O.B Destination. Award - Cost and Other Factors It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submission is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
