ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TOWN OF SPRINGDALE RESERVOIR ACCESS ROAD The Town of Springdale (Owner) is requesting Bids for the Reservoir Access Road Project. Bids will be received by the Town via online submission only until 11:00 AM on September 25, 2026. At that time the Bids will be opened and read aloud in a public web conference via the following link: meet.google.com/vbe-htub-smr Phone Numbers (‪US)‪+1 417-719-7474 PIN: ‪411 149 110# A bid summary will be issued after opening, emailed to all bidders, and posted on the Varela Website. Scope of Project The project consists of grading, constructing, and surfacing an approximately 2,200-linear-foot gravel access road for the Town of Springdale, Washington. Work includes improvement of approximately 1,100 linear feet of existing access road 15 feet wide and construction of approximately 1,100 linear feet of new road 15 feet wide. The road shall be surfaced with crushed aggregate and constructed on a west-facing slope to provide permanent construction and maintenance access to a proposed water reservoir site. To Bid the project, Bidder shall download a full set of the BIDDING DOCUMENTS from www.varelaplanroom.com and shall be on the Plan Holders List. Bids shall be submitted electronically via the Varela Plan Room website and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Additional bid acceptance and contract award provisions are specified in the Contract Documents. An optional pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10 am on September 18th, at the Access Road site in Springdale. Instructions to Bidders For requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders and other documents that are included in the Bidding Documents. Bid bonds in an amount not less than 5% of the amount bid are to be made payable to the Owner. The project is funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Contractor must comply with the requirements of the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA). All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing Federal or State wage rates. The Town of Springdale is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
