The Town of Whitecourt is seeking pricing to revitalize the Highway 43 corridor, beginning with Phase 1 targeting the north-west entrance to the community. This project aims to beautify and plant trees and shrubs along Highway 43 to improve the aesthetics and appearance of the highway corridor. The work includes installing 17 new raised climate zone 3b planting beds along the Highway 43 Corridor. Proposed plantings include deciduous and coniferous trees such as aspen, white spruce, lodgepole pine, kinnikinnick, dogwood, ninebark, willow, juniper, mugo pine, and other similar species.
