Traffic Signage and Barricade Equipment Rentals

The City of Palm Springs is seeking bids under IFB 26-23 for qualified firms to provide traffic signage and barricade rental services for the Public Works department on an as-needed basis. The contract is for an initial three-year term with two optional one-year renewals. The scope includes the delivery, rental, pickup, and optional setup of equipment such as K-rail water-fill barriers, pedestrian barricades, traffic cones, delineators, and arrow boards. All equipment must be DOT approved and compliant with MUTCD regulations. The city will award the contract to the two lowest responsive and responsible bidders. To be eligible, bidders must have at least three years of experience in traffic signage and barricade rentals, hold IMSA certification, and possess a working knowledge of MUTCD. Submission requirements include a detailed bid form for unit pricing, a non-collusion affidavit, conflict of interest and non-discrimination certifications, and compliance with California Executive Order N-6-22 regarding Russian sanctions. Local businesses in the Coachella Valley may receive a preference of up to 5 percent of the total bid price, not to exceed 15,000 dollars. Contractors are required to respond to service calls within 48 hours and provide materials within 72 hours of notice. Invoicing is conducted monthly and must be accompanied by signed receipts from city employees. Payments are generally processed within 45 days. Additionally, contractors must comply with California Prevailing Wage Laws if the project exceeds specific financial thresholds for maintenance or construction.
