This contract, issued by the Florida Department of Transportation, is designed to enable rapid response to traffic safety and operational issues over a two-year period or until a maximum contract value of $2,000,000 is reached. The work involves installing, repairing, and modifying traffic signal infrastructure, signage, pavement markings, pedestrian signals, crosswalks, and accessible pedestrian features. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supplies to complete the work according to the project specifications and work plans, with the Department not dictating work methods or crew size, as long as quality standards are met. Work will be authorized through Work Documents, which specify locations, scope, and deadlines for each task, with actual payments based on completed quantities rather than estimated amounts. The contract spans 730 days, with an initial 10-day period for contract execution, and is structured to accommodate multiple work locations, as specific sites are identified via Work Documents issued by the Project Engineer. The project emphasizes specialty work, and all work must be prequalified, ensuring contractors meet specific standards before participation. The total project budget ranges from five to fifteen million dollars, with the scope including a variety of traffic safety improvements across Florida. Bidders must respond by October 7, 2025, and the contract's flexible scope allows for adjustments based on ongoing needs and site-specific requirements.
