AI Contract Overview
The United States Transportation Command is seeking to extend the TRANSCOM Reference Data Management task order HTC71123FD009 by twelve months through a modification to the existing contract with FedTec LLC. This extension is justified on the grounds that the specialized services required are uniquely available only from the original contractor, and any attempt to recompete or award the work to another vendor would cause unacceptable delays in meeting critical operational needs. The work involves highly technical, specialized reference data management functions essential to the command’s mission, and the current contractor possesses the unique expertise, systems, and institutional knowledge necessary to ensure uninterrupted service continuity. The task order is being modified without competition under sole-source authority, as the requirements cannot be met by alternative sources within the necessary time frame. The contract remains focused on operations at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, with the Department of Defense’s Ustranscom-Aq office overseeing performance. Point of contact for inquiries includes Natascha N. Wolman and Lisa A. Kraft, both serving in official capacities within the office.
