This Firm Fixed Price, sole source contract was awarded to Electra Information Systems to provide bank data aggregation services for the Pension Benefit Guaranty Board's Trust Accounting System. Managed by the Financial Operations Department, the system serves as an investment portfolio and accounting solution used to track investment assets, plan receivables, and liabilities for terminated pension plans and commingled portfolios via an application service provider model. A critical requirement of the system is the acquisition of transactional data from interim custodians. Electra Information Systems was selected as the sole provider because they offer the proprietary RecCollect commercial off the shelf service, which leverages existing bank custodian relationships to deliver the necessary data to the Trust Accounting System.
