THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. The U.S. Government is seeking vendors that may be able to perform this requirement in order to support a competitive procurement. Accordingly, the U.S. Government highly encourages all interested businesses (large and small) to respond to this source sought synopsis. In addition, small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), must describe their identifying capabilities in meeting the requirements at a fair market price, i.e., information which may help support a set-aside. 


This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. Requirement: The U.S. Army Band, “Pershing’s Own” is acquiring two Silver Flutes with Gold head joints for members of the U.S. Army Band flute section. The specifications listed below conform to the standards with which the Soldiers are familiar in their training. This will ensure that they will be able to achieve the best accuracy, technical facility, intonation and tonal blend with their counterparts in the flute section.

The contractor shall provide two Silver Flutes with Gold Head joints as described. The contractor’s quality control program is the means by which they assure themselves that their work complies with the requirement of the contract. As a minimum, the contractor shall develop quality control procedures that address the areas identified in “Performance Requirements Summary”. After acceptance of the quality control plan the contractor shall receive the contracting officer’s acceptance in writing of any proposed change to his QC system.
