U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to Waukesha Foundry, Inc., 1300 Lincoln Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 for the procurement of cast P900 plates with a TRIPLEX MOD steel composition. This notice of intent is not a reque st for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 3:00 pm EST, 18 December 2007. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses m ust be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB.
