There is no solicitation. The Arizona Army National Guard Contracting office intends to award using other than full and open competition the BackPack Journalist Course hosted by the Total Force Team child and Youth Program to A Backpack Journalist, LLC, 2484 Briarcliff Road NE #22-116, Atlanta, GA 30329. The Backpack Journalist Course is a 3 day course that provides curriculum workshops and events for the Military youths 12-18 and designed to assist them through the deployment cycle, to include the reintegration process. They teach youth how to write to express themselves, journalistic reporting, broadcast and scripting and public speaking 101. The course will provide instructors and equipment to include paper, printer and frames. The end result helps youth express their feelings during this difficult time and helps create resilient young adults find their voice. The Arizona Army National Guard Total Force Team child and Youth Program searched for such a program and consulted with NGB and the Chief Child and Youth Services Section of the Soldier and Family Support Division to ensure that this vendor was the only sole provider of this course. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award using other than full and open competition and is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW FAR 6.302-1.
