The Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) and the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) are hosting a vendor meeting to share information on their collaborative training initiatives aimed at enhancing the federal acquisition workforce. The meeting will focus on strategies related to the Acquisition Workforce Training Fund (AWTF), which is funded by a mandated five percent contribution from administrative fees on governmentwide contracts and multiple award schedules. This fund is designed to ensure federal acquisition personnel develop the necessary skills and perspectives to keep pace with evolving acquisition requirements. During the meeting, FAI will outline the training service plans and requirements tied to the AWTF, while DAU will present updates on recent and ongoing changes in contracting curriculum, highlighting their impact on the workforce. This event is targeted toward training developers, vendors offering Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) training products, specialists in Instructional System Design (ISD) methodologies, and experts in acquisition training.
