INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, located at 4811 Airport Plaza Drive, Long Beach, CA 90815 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source Award under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The intended Contractor is Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) located at 401 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60611 Phone: +1 (555) 000-0000 and Fax: (312)755- 7498. This requirement will be used to establish ACOS/Education Annual Accreditation Fees (See attached statement for your reference) at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS). The contract period shall be for one (1) base year, with the Government having the option to exercise one (1) one-year option periods. The contractor shall provide ongoing accreditation including site visits, collection, preparation and distribution of data, review of program materials, surveys and operative log processing and reporting, selectin, organizing and convening peer-review committees, notification of accreditation decisions. This procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, specifically FAR Subpart13.106-1(b)(1)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. This will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award and an anticipated award date is set for 1/1/2021. The proposed period of performance shall be from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021 (Base year). Total estimated value for the Base Year is $30,200.00. The place of performance is at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90073. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 611710 Education Support Services. Product of Service Code for this requirement is, U010 Education Support Services. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is $15.0 Million. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
