GD-AIS shall perform SPALT kit development, installation, and write a SPALT 30361 document for correction of issues discovered during the SSI Increment 1 SPALT 30285 installations. It shall contain instructions for installation and verification testing. The contractor will package deploy a SPALT kit for the following activies: (1) Four (4) UK SSBN SPALT Kits. (2) Three (3) UK Land Based SPALT Kits (1 UK Contingency Reserve, 1 UK software Facility, 1 UK Trainer). Included in this effort are the predeployment planning activities such as a POA&M, Memos of agreement, coordination with site Navy/Contractor personnel for installations, development of *Tagout planning and procession of the Work Authorization Forms . Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the United States and United Kingdom TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
