Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Architectural Services General: The University of Washington is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from Architectural firms to provide design services for the wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ Intellectual House Phase 2. Project Description: The University intends to utilize the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) contracting method for this project, as authorized under RCW 39.10. This project is a realization of a decades long dream to celebrate our region’s First Nations by creating a center on the University of Washington’s Seattle campus for American Indian and Alaska Native students, faculty and staff, as well as people from other cultures and communities, to gather in a welcoming environment and share knowledge. The Phase 1 Gathering Building opened in 2015 and contains a multipurpose hall, teaching space, and administrative offices. Phase 2 is envisioned to be located across the outdoor gathering circle and contains student study lounges, a community and learning room, art lab, multigenerational meeting room and administrative offices. Outdoor spaces will support art activities, student gathering, and landscape improvements. Obtaining the RFQ: A copy of the RFQ with additional information about the project and the selection process will be available on August 25, 2026, via Workday Strategic Sourcing at https://university-ofwashington.public-portal.us.workdayspend.com/. Any addenda issued for the RFQ will be published at the same website address. If you are unable to download the RFQ or addenda, you may contact the individual noted at the end of this notice.
