The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) plans to increase the contract ceiling by approximately $28 million on contract N66001-09-D-B0032, awarded to EDO Professional Services Inc. This contract supports unmanned vehicle systems and related equipment utilized for Fleet mine countermeasures, force protection missions, and research and development initiatives. The services provided under this contract include engineering, logistics, configuration management, program management, research, depot maintenance, system administration, and tactical and strategic planning. The company’s expertise ensures continuous operation, evaluation, maintenance, training, and sustainment of Fleet mine countermeasure systems; a necessity to fulfill the Commander, U.S. Fifth Fleet’s operational deployment directives as directed by the Chief of Naval Operations. Without this continuation, there would be a significant negative impact on deployment capabilities.
