AI Contract Overview
The solicitation requires all bid submissions to be made electronically through the designated website, as BCN Purchasing no longer accepts hard copy documents for any procurement process including ITBs, RFPs, RFQs, or CMARs. Vendors must register with the NSHE Supplier Registration system, which is a one-time process, to ensure they can receive payments from the university. Existing vendors should verify their registration status and update it if necessary to avoid delays. Bidders are encouraged to work on their responses early, utilizing the system’s save feature, and to upload all required documents before the response deadline, which is March 7, 2024. Once responses are unsealed, the list of bidders and the bid tabulation will be publicly accessible online. The project involves renovating existing space at the William N. Pennington Student Achievement Center to create two offices and five workstations, with an estimated cost between $90,000 and $160,000. The work is scheduled to commence on May 6, 2024, and must be completed by July 9, 2024, barring any adjustments by the owner. Contractors awarded the project will need to carry specified insurance coverages, including general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, pollution liability, and possibly builders risk insurance if the contract exceeds $100,000. The contract includes a liquidated damages clause of $500 per day for delays. The primary point of contact for this solicitation is Ryan Caddel, reachable via email or phone, and detailed project information is available through the provided online link.

Full Description
**NSHE recently migrated to a new payment system that requires all of our vendors register with the system in order for our Controllers office to allow us to pay you. Please visit the following link for the NSHE Supplier Registration system to sign up for a new account: https://suppliers.nevada.edu/Membership/Secure/CreateUser.aspx. This process only needs to be completed once. If you believe you already have an account set up please confirm by searching for your company at this link: https://suppliers.nevada.edu/FindSupplier.aspx. If your company is listed and shows the Supplier Status as anything other than “Accepted” then there are still steps that must be completed before your registration is approved.
**Once an ITB/RFP/RFQ/CMAR is released for bidding, bidders may begin working on their response and uploading required documents without submitting their bid early. The NGEM system allows for bidders to save their work. Please make use of this capability in order to give your company enough time to review your response and upload any other documents on the day the ITB/RFP/RFQ/CMAR closes so that you do not miss the cut-off time.
**Once the ITB/RFP/RFQ/CMAR closes and the responses are unsealed electronically, the list of bidders/responders will be immediately posted online and available to the public for viewing. This document can be accessed by clicking on Closed Bid Opportunities, selecting the specific opportunity, and scrolling down to Bid Documents. The Bid Tabulation document will be available for review there.
