The Coast Guard is planning to conduct specific sub-system recapitalizations in support of the CGC HEALY Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) from FY2027 to FY 2031. A number of these system recapitalizations require integration and tie-in to the existing Integrated Power Plant (IPP) system. The existing IPP system is comprised of the Central Power Plant (common bus electric propulsion and auxiliary power generation systems) and selected components/systems in the auxiliary machinery plant, which is maintained/managed by a separate services contract.
This acquisition is a multi-year contract with the scope focusing on the integration of the recapitalized sub-systems into the IPP system. The sub-systems intended to be recapitalized currently include: the Science Sea Water System Pump and Cyclone Separator, Steering Control System Components, Sanitary System Components, Over-the-Side Weight Handling System, Deaerating Feedwater Tanks, and the Bow Thruster. The IPP system is proprietary and the USCG intends to award to a sole source for this acquisition to the Original Equipment Manufacturer. The Vendor shall provide on-site technical support for training, system testing, commissioning, and certification. The Vendor shall provide maintenance parts lists and a recommended onboard repair parts (OBRP) list for all components.
