The USDA Forest Service is issuing an ongoing Sources Sought Notice to gather information from qualified small business contractors capable of supporting nationwide wildfire and all-hazard incident response efforts. This notice is not a request for proposal but serves as a market research tool to determine availability and capabilities for various services supporting the Forest Service’s Fire and Aviation Management Program. The mission focuses on addressing both forecasted and unforeseen incidents, such as wildland fires and hazardous fuels reduction projects, which are critical to protecting life, property, and natural resources. The agency seeks vendors able to provide diverse support roles including food services, hydration, heavy equipment rentals, medical and repair services, sanitation, satellite communication, logging equipment, traffic control, mobile office rentals, power generation, and waste management. Interested businesses must be registered under NAICS code 115310 for Fuels Management Services and/or Forest Fire Suppression and should have relevant experience in wildfire suppression, hazardous fuels reduction, or incident support. To be added to the vendor source list, companies must submit detailed information including contact details, socio-economic status, standing rates, and confirmation of registration in the System for Award Management (SAM). Responses are voluntary and will help the Forest Service plan procurement strategies for urgent incident support but do not guarantee future contracts or orders. This is a total small business set-aside opportunity managed through the Department of Agriculture’s office based in Boise, Idaho, with performance anticipated primarily in Golden, Colorado. The response window is open until October 24, 2027.
