The USPP has a requirement to purchase various types and calibers of ammunition to support all its various weapon platforms, to include 5.56mm rifle, 9mm duty, 9mm frangible, 12 gauge shotgun pellet, 12 gauge shotgun slug, .308 ammo, .380 ammo and non+p 9mm ammo. This ammunition is required for training, weapons qualifications, and for duty carry. The USPP has been informed that all ammunition purchases will be awarded through ConOps Strategic consolidated ammunition contracts.
