The United States Postal Service has issued a solicitation restricted to previously pre-qualified contractors for a design build project at the Kahului HI Airport Annex. The invited contractor list has been finalized. This notice is to inform interested contractors of the possibility for subcontracting opportunities only. If interested, please email the contacts on this posting with your company information and we will forward your information to the prequalified contractors. No phone calls please. The scope of work includes but may not be limited to the following:1. Site Improvements, including: a. Clearing and grubbing of existing site including tree removals, demolition of existing paving, existing fencing and miscellaneous improvements. b. Earthwork, concrete and asphalt paving, parking lot striping and sealer, concrete curbs and curb cuts, construction of underground utilities and connections to municipal utilities, water, and sewer systems, area light standards and bases, perimeter site fencing, landscaping, irrigation system, new flagpole, exterior signage, etc. c. Concrete truck maneuvering area, and loading docks, site lighting, water lines, storm drains, fire hydrants, new fencing with motorized gates w/ access control, and the striping of new employee and visitors' parking stalls. 2. Post Office Building, including: a. Type I construction building of approximately 10,560 gross square feet (GSF) constructed of concrete masonry unit and steel structure. Work shall include provision of PVC KEE membrane roofing over R-30 minimum rigid insulation over metal roof decking supported by steel roof beams or joists. New HVAC equipment with associated ductwork, including diffusers and return grilles, controls, etc. shall be provided. Provide the building with power for new equipment and general use outlets, ceiling-supported light fixtures, etc. b. Provision of new painted gypsum board interior partitions, painted doors and frames, suspended painted gypsum board ceilings, 2' x 4' lay-in acoustic panel ceilings, finish flooring, signage, etc. Work also includes plumbing fixtures, HVAC system ductwork, including Test and Balancing, commissioning, controls, associated lighting, power, data, CCTV cameras, security systems etc.
