Full Description

Consistent with Chapter 862 of the Laws of 1990, the agency name below requested an exemption from initially publishing this contract opportunity in the procurement opportunities newsletter, i.e. the NYS Contract Reporter. In accordance with Section 144(2)(e) of the Economic Development Law, the Office of the State Comptroller has granted the exemption. This Exemption Request allows us to contract with UV Concepts. SUNY Upstate Medical University has purchased two (2) UVConcepts Inc. UVenclosure Systems and would be obtaining an additional machine within the term of this new contract. The UVenclosure systems are used in the process of decontaminating equipment in SUNY Upstate's Equipment Services Department in our Downtown Campus and Equipment Department in our Community Campus. The UVenclusure provides a safe and effecitve way to inactivate microorganisms on portable hospital equipment. This vendor is the only vendor that has a UVenclusure that can accommodate large portable hospital equipment.
