The Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDs) has new requirements for Daily and Special education student school bus transportation services for school year 2003 - 2004. The requirement consists of transporting school aged students to and from school on a daily basis, Monday - Friday, from September 2003 - June 2004. The following communities are being resolicited in Germany: Kaiserslautern (Zone A); Landstuhl (Zone B); Ramstein (Zone C); and Sembach (Zone D). The planned contract type is a firm fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract. These acquisitions will be conducted on an unrestricted basis under full and open competition. Contract award will be evaluated using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection process. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on or about 15 April 2003. A single contract award is intended although multiple awards may be made as deemed appropriate by the Government. The RFP will contain a one-year base period, three (3) one-year option periods, and an award term coverage for 3 additional years for a total contract period of seven (7) years. DEPO is issuing these solicitations electronically. A pre-proposal conference date will be announced in the solicitation. Interested parties may access the solicitations at http://www.eps.gov or hard copies will be available upon request from the DODDS European Procurement Office on a case by case basis.
