AI Contract Overview
The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center is soliciting quotations for two specialized safety relief valves essential to the 154 FRC ships’ service air system. Both valves, manufactured by Taylor Valve Technology, are identical in construction—stainless steel bodies with 316SS seat frames, 17-7SS springs, and Viton O-rings—differing only in pressure settings: one rated for 150 PSI and the other for 35 PSI, each with a 1/2” MNPT inlet and 1” FNPT outlet and a D-orifice design. Ten units of each valve are required, identified by their respective part numbers 825D3041831-150 and 825D1041831-35. Strict packaging requirements mandate that each valve be individually packaged per MIL-STD-2073-1E Method 10, cushioned and enclosed in ASTM-D5118 double-wall fiberboard boxes, with all external markings compliant with MIL-STD-129R and barcoded using ISO/IEC-16388-2007 Code 39 symbology. Commercial packaging is unacceptable, and failure to comply will result in rejection and return of the goods. Vendors may use third-party packaging services if needed, but must include associated costs in their quotations. The solicitation is issued under simplified acquisition procedures as a firm fixed price contract with an award based on lowest price technically acceptable. All submissions must originate from vendors registered in SAM.gov with a valid DUNS number and tax information provided. The NAICS code is 332919, and the procurement is a total small business set-aside, meaning only qualified small businesses may compete. Delivery must be F.O.B. Destination to the USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center in Baltimore, Maryland, with required labeling for Receiving Room, Building 88. The deadline for quotations is August 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. Offerors must complete and submit FAR 52.212-3 representations and certifications, including disclosures regarding corporate inversion status and compliance with anti-expatriate and subcontracting restrictions. Additional clauses governing procurement integrity, labor standards, Buy American Act, electronic funds transfer, and trafficking in persons prohibitions are fully incorporated. The contracting office is the Department of Homeland Security,
