We are requesting funds to purchase the Varex PaxScan 4343CB flat panel detector, a large 2D X-ray detector used for cone-beam CT and fluoroscopy. This detector has a 43 215 43 cm active area and can provide both static and real-time images, which makes it very useful for interventional radiology applications. It will be used in our lab to develop and test human-sized phantoms, and to support the validation of the evaluation methods we are working on.
