We are requesting funds to purchase the Varex PaxScan 4343CB flat panel detector, a large 2D X-ray detector used for cone-beam CT and fluoroscopy. This detector has a 43 215 43 cm active area and can provide both static and real-time images, which makes it very useful for interventional radiology applications. It will be used in our lab to develop and test human-sized phantoms, and to support the validation of the evaluation methods we are working on. The detector will be an important part of our imaging setup under the "Interventional Radiological Imaging and Visualization" program.
